Miraculous Medal, 3/4" (2 cm), Made in Italy
Keep a reminder of Mary's intercession close with this traditional Miraculous Medal. Associated with Our Lady's apparitions to Saint Catherine Labouré in Paris in 1830, this beloved Catholic devotion invites us to turn to Mary in prayer and ask for the graces we need. Share it as a thoughtful First Communion or Confirmation gift, or keep it as a personal devotional keepsake.
The front depicts the Blessed Virgin Mary surrounded by the prayer, “O Mary conceived without sin pray for us who have recourse to thee.” The reverse features the letter M beneath a cross, recalling Mary's presence at the foot of the Cross, with the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary below, expressing the union of their hearts.
Devotion to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal centres on Mary's maternal intercession and the graces sought through prayer, rather than a specific occupational patronage.
Made in Italy from oxidized metal, this medal measures 3/4" (2 cm). Medal only, chain not included.
Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal feast day: November 27, commemorated in some regions and religious communities.
